Chrio Base Materials:( Catechin )

Catechin

Catechin is a phytochemical (non-nutrient plant chemical) that is found in a number of plants and teas. Recently, studies have revealed there are many health benefits in Catechin. These include superior antioxidant and antibacterial properties as well as the prevention of lifestyle-induced diseases. The Catechin component in tea holds much promise regarding applications for foodstuffs and other fields as well. Currently, ongoing joint programs with research institutions around the world are investigating Catechin's efficacy in cancer prevention, aiming at developing pharmaceutical products containing Catechin. Catechin's ability to adsorb and stick to formaldehyde, a major source of indoor air pollution, combined with its outstanding deodorizing and antibacterial properties is the key to developing new applications that are related to housing environments and welfare services as well.

Chrio has incorporated Catechin in a number of products.

Major Properties

1. ANTI-OXIDATIVE ACTIVITY
Catechin prevents oxidation, deterioration, discoloration and stabilizes food.

2. ANTI-BACTERIAL ACTIVITY
Catechin suppresses food borne pathogenic bacteria.

3. ANTI-VIRAL ACTIVITY
Catechin has its high inhibitory action against influenza virus.

4. IMPROVEMENT OF INTESTINAL FLORA
Significant increase in lactic acid bacteria and a decrease in harmful toxic bacteria helps    maintain healthy intestinal flora.

5. RADICAL SCAVENGING ACTIVITY
A strong effect on the prevention of oxidative stress occurs inside the body.

6. DEODORANT ACTIVITY
Catechin effectively lessens unpleasant odors such as tri-methyl amine and sulfides.

7. ABSORPTION OF FORMALDEHYDE ACTIVITY
Formaldehyde is effectively controlled by a chemical reaction for both absorption and    prevention of its release.

8. STIMULATING STRAIN OF ROOTS
Catechin stimulates the strain of plant roots in the soil, maintaining health of plants.
